Analytics

Connect Google Analytics 4 to your marketplace to track visitor traffic, page views, and user behavior. Once you add your Measurement ID, the tracking snippet is added to every page of your storefront automatically — no code, no tag manager, no deployments.

Open the Analytics page

  1. Go to Sites in the admin panel
  2. Click on your site to open its Home page
  3. In the sidebar, expand Build → Integrations and click Analytics

Permissions

Only team members with permission to update a site can manage its integrations. See Account settings for team roles.

Add your Measurement ID

  1. In the Google Analytics Measurement ID field, paste your ID — it looks like G-XXXXXXXXXX
  2. Click Save

The standard Google Analytics gtag.js snippet is now added to the <head> of every storefront page, so visitor traffic is collected from that point forward.

Where to find your Measurement ID

In Google Analytics 4, go to Admin → Data Streams, open your web data stream, and copy the Measurement ID shown at the top. If you don't have a property yet, create one in Google Analytics first.

Pausing tracking

To stop collecting data, clear the Measurement ID field and save. The tracking snippet is removed from your storefront immediately.

How tracking works

  • The snippet is rendered only when a Measurement ID is set — your storefront stays lightweight otherwise
  • Tracking applies to every storefront page, including custom pages, listings, and the checkout flow
  • The ID is validated as a proper Google Analytics Measurement ID (starting with G-) before it's saved

Custom domains

Analytics works the same whether your marketplace runs on its default subdomain or a custom domain you've pointed at it. Set it up once and it follows your site everywhere.
