Top bar

The Top bar page lets you customize your storefront's header per site: choose where the logo sends visitors, decide whether logged-out users see the Post listing button, and add unlimited custom navigation links placed directly in the top bar or grouped under a More dropdown.

Open the Top bar page

  1. Go to Sites in the admin panel
  2. Click on your site to open its Home page
  3. In the sidebar, expand Build → Design and click Top bar

Permissions

Only team members with permission to update a site can change its top bar. See Account settings for team roles.

Logo destination

By default, clicking the logo in the storefront header sends visitors to your marketplace's home page. You can change this to any URL — internal or external.

  • Relative path — for example, /listings or /categories — uses in-app navigation
  • Full URL — for example, https://example.com — sends visitors off-site
  • Empty — falls back to the storefront home

Logo vs. site name

The logo only appears if you've uploaded one under Branding. Without a logo, visitors see the site name as text — clicking it follows the same destination.

Post listing button

The Post listing button is always visible to logged-in visitors. Use the Show to guests toggle to control what logged-out visitors see:

  • On — guests see the Post listing button (clicking it takes them to registration)
  • Off — guests see a Publish listing button instead (same destination, different wording)

Turn the toggle off if you'd rather lead with a softer call-to-action to visitors who haven't signed up yet.

Add as many custom links as you need. Each link has three parts:

FieldDescription
LabelThe text shown in the top bar (up to 80 characters)
URLThe destination — relative path or full URL
PlacementWhere the link appears: Top bar or More dropdown

Internal vs. external URLs

Yclas Neo detects the URL type automatically:

  • Relative paths (for example, /pricing or /about) use in-app navigation for a fast, single-page-app feel
  • Full URLs (for example, https://example.com) open in a new tab with rel="noopener" for security

Placement options

  • Top bar — the link appears in the storefront header, next to the inbox (logged-in visitors) or at the start of the navigation (guests). Best for primary navigation (Pricing, About, Contact)
  • More dropdown — the link is tucked under a More menu that opens on click. Best for secondary navigation (Careers, Policies, Press)

Custom links are visible to everyone — logged-in visitors and guests. There is no separate "guests only" or "logged-in only" placement.

Drag any link by its handle to reorder. The order you set applies to both desktop and mobile — the mobile sidebar mirrors whatever you configure here.

  1. Click Add link to open the link form
  2. Enter a Label, URL, and pick a Placement
  3. Click Add to save

To edit an existing link, open the row's dropdown menu and choose Edit. The same form opens, pre-filled with the link's current values.

Deleting a link can't be undone

Removing a link immediately removes it from your storefront. There's no undo, but you can re-add the same link anytime.

Mobile experience

Visitors on phones see a slide-out sidebar menu instead of the top bar. The sidebar mirrors everything you configure on the Top bar page:

  • Custom links appear in the same order
  • Top bar links and More dropdown links are flattened into a single list
  • The logo destination and guest Post listing toggle apply identically

There's nothing extra to configure — set it once on desktop and mobile follows.
