Listing layout

The Layout page lets you choose how listings present their photos on your storefront, per site. Pick the image layout for the listing detail page and the aspect ratio for thumbnails across the homepage and browse page.

Open the Layout page

  1. Go to Sites in the admin panel
  2. Click on your site to open its Home page
  3. In the sidebar, expand Build → Design and click Layout

Permissions

Only team members with permission to update a site can change its listing layout. See Account settings for team roles.

Image layout

Controls how photos are shown on the listing detail page.

Photos rotate in a swipeable carousel with indicator dots. This is the default.

Best for product classifieds marketplaces, where buyers expect to flip through several photos of an item.

Screen-wide cover photo

The first photo is displayed as a large, screen-wide hero, with the remaining photos available as clickable thumbnails underneath.

Best for property rentals and other marketplaces that feature listings with beautiful landscape images — real estate, vehicles, travel, and similar categories where a single standout photo sets the tone.

Thumbnail aspect ratio

Controls the shape of listing card thumbnails across the homepage, browse page, and anywhere else cards appear.

RatioDimensionsBest for
Landscape4:3Classic wide thumbnails, ideal for most listings
Portrait3:4Tall thumbnails that flatter clothing, real estate interiors, and standing objects
Square1:1Uniform square thumbnails for a consistent, modern grid

The aspect ratio applies uniformly across every listing card on your storefront, so the grid stays tidy regardless of how sellers crop their original photos.

What users see

Both settings apply to your storefront the moment you save them — there's no separate publish step:

  • The image layout changes how photos are presented on each listing detail page
  • The thumbnail aspect ratio reshapes every listing card on the homepage and browse page
