Yclas Neo

Localization

The Localization page lets you choose how dates, numbers, and prices are formatted across your marketplace. Pick a locale and a currency and Yclas Neo applies them everywhere — storefront, listings, conversations, and the admin preview.

Open the Localization page

  1. Go to Sites in the admin panel
  2. Click on your site to open its Home page
  3. In the sidebar, expand Build → General and click Localization

Permissions

Only team members with permission to update a site can change its localization. See Account settings for team roles.

Locale

The locale controls how dates, times, and numbers are formatted throughout your storefront. Yclas Neo supports a curated list of locales, including:

  • English (US, UK, Australia, Canada)
  • Spanish (Spain, Mexico, Argentina)
  • French (France, Canada)
  • German (Germany, Austria)
  • Portuguese (Brazil, Portugal)
  • Chinese (Simplified, Traditional), Japanese, Korean
  • Arabic, Hindi, Thai, Vietnamese, and many more

When you change the locale, the storefront immediately uses the new formatting for dates and numbers.

Currency

The currency controls how listing prices are displayed. Yclas Neo supports 40+ currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY, BRL, MXN, INR, and many others.

Prices are stored without a currency and formatted on display using the configured currency and locale. For example, with the locale set to English (United States) and currency set to USD, a price of 1234.56 renders as $1,234.56. Switch the currency to EUR and the same price renders as €1,234.56.

Live preview

The Localization page shows a live preview of how a sample price will appear as you change the locale and currency — before you save.

Where the settings apply

Locale and currency are applied to the runtime on every storefront request, which means:

  • Listing prices on cards, grids, and detail pages use the configured currency
  • Date and time formats follow the configured locale
  • Storefront copy and email notifications use the configured locale (see Translations to customize them)

Translating your storefront

Yclas Neo ships with base translations for English, Spanish, German, and French. To customize the storefront copy and email notifications for your locale — without touching language files — see Translations.

Default values

New marketplaces start with the following defaults:

  • Localeen (English)
  • CurrencyUSD (US Dollar)

You can change these at any time from the Localization page.
